You will prepare and cook:
Kedgeree - this dish consists of curried rice, smoked fish, boiled eggs, peas & herbs. The origins are Indian, known as Kitchari, but the English adapted the dish to include smoked fish.
You will learn to:
Follow a recipe
Identify, weigh and measure ingredients
Use knives to chop and slice safely
Identify some Indian spices
Cook rice and boil eggs
Poach smoked fish
Follow directions regarding hygiene and safety around the oven and kitchen
All classes are held in Jane’s Kitchen, Clayfield and will be run to a Covid Safe Plan.
If a child is keen to participate but is unavailable for the workshop advertised, subject to workshop availability, they can join the same workshop on another day.
